It is a lively city full of life, with its streets combining art and history, its shops and cultural performances make it stand out, but also its markets and traditional tastes to satisfy even the most demanding. It is impossible to resist the charm of the city citing its enviable geographical position, excellent connectivity, parks, streets steeped in culture and history and vibrant nightlife.

Visiting

Day 1: Athens - Madrid
Day 1: Athens - Madrid

Meet at the airport and fly to Spain's impressive capital. Built at an altitude of 650 meters, it dominates the central plateau of the Iberian Peninsula, in Castile. Since 1561 the capital of the country with a population of 4,000,000.

Arrival transfer and check-in at the hotel. Time for rest or a first walk.

  • For the afternoon, we suggest that you optionally take advantage of the free time getting to know some of the many interesting points of Madrid, (in addition to what we will get to know on our planned tour together with its Museums). In collaboration with our head of office, get to know the Madrid of the Bourbons, its northern districts with the impressive Real Stadium, Santiago Bernabeu and Puerta de Europa, Plaza de Toros, the City Arena, Plaza Colón with the Archaeological Museum but also the elegant shops of the Barrio de Salamanca, the Spanish Square with the giant sculpture of Miguel de Cervantes, the famous Egyptian monument Debod, the Retiro Park and among many others the most historic square of the city, the Plaza Mayor.
Day 2: Madrid

Our morning tour will reveal to us a small part of the wealth of the most important Art Gallery in the world (PRADO). The more than 10,000 works belonging to his collection offer a unique journey through Time and Color. We will enjoy the masterpieces of El Greco, Velathqueth, Goya "standing" next to other equally important painters. Then we will walk through the narrow streets of the heart of Madrid. In the famous Barrio de la letras, one of the most bohemian districts in all of Europe, where many of Spain's great painters and writers lived and created. Our tour will end with the medieval part of the city, the Madrid of the Habsburgs.

Day 3: Madrid - Toledo

After breakfast, departure for the "City of Three Cultures", Toledo, a city with a great historical, artistic and cultural heritage. We will wander through the narrow streets of the medieval city and visit the Cathedral, a unique building of great artists and a mixture of many architectural styles, where we will see paintings by El Greco, of untold value, such as the Expolio and the Apostles collection. Next, the church of Santo Tome, we will admire El Greco's masterpiece "The Burial of Count Orgath". Then a visit to a factory with "Damasquinad", a well-known Toledan art that comes from the time of the Arabs. Return to Madrid.

For the afternoon we recommend a shopping stroll in the city's most elegant Barrio de Salamanca, a coffee in the atmospheric Plaza de Oriente overlooking the palace, or simply wander the narrow streets of the old town ending up in the impressive Plaza Mayor for a hot chocolate.

Day 4: Madrid - Segovia

After breakfast, we will depart for Segovia, the city of Queen Isabel, the old capital of Castile. Segovia is located in the most impressive location in Spain. The old city is built on a rocky hill and is surrounded by the rivers Eresma and Clamores. From a distance it looks like a ship, with the medieval fortress forming the bow, the turrets of the Gothic church rising like masts and the aqueduct at the back resembling a rudder.

At sunset, the view of the old town from the valley is magnificent. In Segovia there are many churches, a cathedral from 1525, a museum of Segovia with works of engraving from the Stone Age as well as tools, constructions, coins, etc. You can still see the aqueduct and the ALCAZAR that rises like a fairytale castle. Late afternoon return to Madrid.

Day 5: Madrid - Athens

Today our trip ends, leaving beautiful memories and a promise that we will come back.
