Day 1: Bratislava – Budapest | Where the Danube shines
Departure from Macedonia Airport and flight to Bratislava.
The capital of Slovakia welcomes us decked out in Christmas lights. In the old town, melodies mingle with the aromas of glühwein and cinnamon – cobbled alleys, small shops, and a fairytale atmosphere. We pass through St. Michael's Gate, admire the Town Hall and St. Martin's Cathedral.
We cross the border and head towards Budapest – the "Lady of the Danube." Our first encounter with the city is like leafing through a history book: the Castle, the Fishermen's Bastion, Matthias Church, the National Gallery, the Statue of Liberty. Our gaze travels over the river that divides, but also unites, Buda and Pest.
Check-in at the hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 2: Budapest | The city that shines at night
Today we experience the brightest side of the Danube
Breakfast and departure for a tour of cosmopolitan Pest, the bank of the Danube that proudly faces Buda. We start at Heroes' Square, with its imposing statues of Magyar leaders and the imposing Millennium Arch. We continue along the aristocratic Andrássy Avenue, reminiscent of 19th-century Paris, with the Opera House, elegant mansions, and cafés of the bohemian era.
The tour takes us to the Parliament, an architectural gem that dominates the banks of the river, and to the bridges of the Danube, symbols of the union of old Buda with Pest. From the Chain Bridge to the Liberty Bridge, the city stretches out like a painting, with the water reflecting the ornate buildings and towers of the Castle.
Followed by free time to stroll along the famous Váci utca, the city's most commercial and festive street. Shop windows decorated with lights, decorated wooden stalls, street musicians, and the aroma of freshly baked kürtőskalács (traditional sweet rolls) create a magical atmosphere. In the afternoon, enjoy a mulled wine in Vörösmarty Square, decorated with lights and Christmas music – a little piece of magic in the heart of Budapest.
For those who wish, an optional night cruise on the Danube is recommended. The palace, the Parliament and the bridges are illuminated, reflecting on the water like an opera set – an unforgettable experience.
Day 3: Budapest – Vienna | From the imposing to the romantic
We depart for Vienna – the city of emperors and composers.
The route takes us gradually from imposing Budapest to the romantic atmosphere of the Austrian capital. Arrival and tour of the legendary Ringstrasse, the ring road that embraces the great monuments: State Opera, Hofburg, twin museums, Parliament, City Hall, St. Stephen's Cathedral.
The tour ends at the fairytale market of Rathausplatz, where lights, scents, and music combine to create the magic of Vienna.
Check in at the hotel and free time for an evening stroll through the illuminated streets.
Day 4: Vienna | The city with the aroma of coffee and the sound of waltzes
Breakfast in Vienna has the aroma of coffee, the sound of waltzes, and the color of gold. We begin our tour of the city that inspired Mozart, Beethoven, and Strauss. The tour includes the historic center, Ringstrasse boulevard, City Hall, Parliament, and the famous State Opera House.
Next, we visit the Greek Quarter, the heart of Hellenism in Vienna. We visit St. George's Cathedral and the Holy Trinity Church — two living monuments to a community that has left an indelible mark on the city.
For those who wish to get to know Vienna beyond its superficial boundaries, we offer an enriched experience of culture and history: a visit to the Schönbrunn and Belvedere Palaces — two of the most magnificent monuments of European imperial heritage.
At Schönbrunn, the iconic summer residence of the Habsburgs, we will tour the luxurious halls and imposing gardens reminiscent of a bygone era. At Belvedere, we will admire masterpieces of Austrian art up close, including Gustav Klimt's iconic "The Kiss." The tour is conducted exclusively by our agency, with a Greek-speaking Tour Director & certified tour guide.
Cost of participation: Adults €50 / Children €40.
An experience that complements your acquaintance with Vienna in the most authentic and aristocratic way.
Day 5: Vienna | The city's last breath
Breakfast and some free time for a last stroll around Vienna.
Perhaps a stop at the Naschmarkt market, a coffee at Demel, or a quiet stroll around St. Stephen's Cathedral. Transfer to the airport and return flight to Thessaloniki.
The journey ends, but the magic remains – the images, melodies, and flavors of a complete experience.
