Bangkok & Bali

1st-2nd day: Thessaloniki - flight to Bangkok

Evening meeting at the airport and flight via Istanbul to cosmopolitan Bangkok. Arrival the following afternoon at 15.25, formalities and meeting with our local Greek-speaking representative. During your transfer to the hotel, you will receive initial basic information about the city and daily activities. Check in and free time for a first introduction to the Thai capital.

3rd day: Bangkok, city tour

Breakfast is followed by a tour of the "Venice of the East", as Bangkok is called because of the numerous canals that run through it. We start with a boat ride along the Chao Praia River with its countless canals or klongs, from where we will have a unique view of the Royal Palace. Our first stop is the famous Dawn Temple, covered with pieces of Chinese porcelain and spectacularly dominating the river. We will then visit on the opposite bank, the Temple of the Reclining Buddha (Wat Po), where we will have the opportunity to see one of the most impressive statues of the Buddha in an inclined position. This temple is also the oldest and most prestigious Thai massage school in the country. Continue to tour the Pratunam area and the local market, while enjoying the unique atmosphere with the traditional street vendors of the capital's flea markets. Transfer to our hotel and rest. In the evening visit one of the many flea markets in the metropolis or one of the cosmopolitan skyview bars overlooking the skyscrapers of Bangkok.

4th day: Bangkok (optional excursion to Ayutthaya)

Breakfast and a free day to explore the city's outdoor markets and shopping centres. Alternatively, we recommend a day trip to Ayutthaya, the old capital of Thailand, to visit the city's archaeological site, with its 14th-18th century temples. The historical park, a Unesco World Heritage Site, covers an area of 289 hectares. Among other things, you will have the opportunity to see the impressive ruins of the royal palace and the three stupas of Wat Phra Si Sanphet, remnants after the destruction of the city in 1797 by the Burmese. You will also see the famous Wat Mahathat Monument, where the Buddha's head lies wedged between the numerous roots of a tree, and Wat Panang Chong, with the largest seated Buddha. Return in the afternoon to Bangkok. In the evening we recommend you to watch the Siam Niramit spectacle, featuring the history and cultural richness of Thailand in a theatrical extravaganza. Alternatively, you can stroll through Bangkok's Asian Night Market.  

5^th day: Bangkok - flight to Bali

Breakfast and transfer to the airport to board the direct flight to the exotic Bali, the island of the Gods. Arrangements, baggage collection and meeting with your local guide. During your transfer to the hotel, you will receive initial basic information about the island and daily activities. Settle into your room and free time for rest or swimming in the Indian Ocean. In the afternoon we recommend a stroll to the cosmopolitan beaches of Kuta and Seminyak, Bali's market and entertainment centre, where you can wander the streets lined with wonderful shops, cafes and local restaurants. Enjoy magnificent sunsets from the Ku.De.Ta or Potato Head lounge bar and relax with your first Balinese massage.

6^th day: Excursion to Central & Central and Northern Bali

Breakfast. Departure at 08.30-09.00 from the hotels and visit the most important attraction of the island, the iconic Tanah Lot temple, built on a rock in the Indian Ocean. We continue with a visit to the Taman Ayun Royal Temple, where you will learn more about Balinese temple architecture and their Hindu tradition. Through breathtaking landscapes and villages of the island, you will reach the beautiful Lake Beratan to tour the majestic Ulun Danu temple. The location is unparalleled, as four mountains and volcanoes surround it, creating a stunning atmosphere and picture. Next stop is a spice and herb garden, where you will sample local tea and coffee, and of course the world famous luak coffee. Objective: The tour will introduce you to the culture of Bali, visiting some of the island's top temples. You will also learn more about the secret world of the Baharians. Easy tour with longer transfers.

7th+8^th day: Bali



Breakfast and free days to enjoy your hotel facilities or visit one of the wonderful beaches of the Bukit Peninsula, with a choice of water activities. Alternatively, we suggest you do some of the suggested activities or excursions, such as the South Bali tour with a visit to Uluwatu temple, the full day cruise to Lembongan or Nusa Penida islands. It is worth having a cocktail at the Ayana resort and the famous Ayana Rock Bar, overlooking the Balinese sunset, before ending up at Jimbaran beach with its famous lobster restaurants.

9th day: Excursion to the best of Ubud (waterfalls & rice fields & monkey forest) 

Breakfast and room delivery. Departure at 08.30-09.00 for the highlands of Ubud, the cultural center of the island. First stop is the impressive Tegenungan waterfall, which you will admire through a magnificent tropical setting. Next stop the village of Tampak Siring, where you will see the Tirta Empul temple with its sacred spring water and the palace built by Indonesia's first president. Continue to the spectacular Tegelalang rice fields, one of the main tourist attractions in Bali, north of Ubud. For the adventurous, we recommend doing bali swing or flying fox, with panoramic views of the spectacular terraces. Before transferring to our hotel, you will visit the sacred monkey forest, a protected area where you will see and play with the macaques. Settle into the rooms and overnight. Objective: The tour will introduce you to the wonderful hinterland of Bali and its cultural center of Ubud village. 

10th+11th Day: Ubud, Bali 

Breakfast and two free days to enjoy the enchanting nature, colourful villages, mystical temples and open-air markets of the Balinese hinterland. Walk through the village of Ubud and bargain in its open-air market, visit the Blanco Museum and tour inside the Royal Palace. We recommend rafting on the Ayung River or visiting the elephant theme park in Taro or the Bali Safari & Wildlife Park Marine Park. We also suggest you take a full day trip to the east coast with a visit to Besakih Temple or for hiking enthusiasts, choose to traverse the Campuhan trail or hike to Batur Volcano. End the day with a refreshing Balinese massage.

12th-13th day: Bali - return flight to Thessaloniki

Breakfast and free time until 15.00, when you will meet your guide for transfer to the airport to board your return flight via Singapore. The following morning you will arrive back home full of wonderful sights and memories.
